Pressure is on. In two weeks I have to deliver a speech at my friend's wedding. I, along with other members of the wedding party, need to think of some nice things to say about my friend and his wife-to-be in hopes to both entertain those in attendance and make them cry like children. It should be easy enough, I love both of them to death, but all this pressure has been thrust upon me since my friends know I write for a living.
Okay, if you want me to tell you about the history of the Halo franchise or jaw on and on about how good Civilization V is, I'm your man. But let's not go crazy in thinking this job prepares me for a thoughtful speech when I'm on stage holding a glass of champagne.
Hopefully the NPD numbers for September will be out by then, so at least my speech will tackle hard hitting current events.
