Award-Winning Adventure Game 'Machinarium' Clanking Onto WiiWare
by Alice O'Connor, Sep 10, 2010 10:10am PDTIndie developer Amanita Design's delightful adventure game Machinarium is heading for a downloadable release on Wii, ported with Defend Your Castle dev XGen Studios.
The puzzling adventure game was originally released for PC and Mac in October 2009, winning the award for 'Excellence in Visual Art' at the 2009 Independent Games Festival.
"As the subject of enormous critical acclaim, this is an honor long overdue for Machinarium," XGen's director of operations, Jordan Dubuc, said in the announcement. "We're very fortunate to be working with the talented team at Amanita to share this interactive work of art with a whole new audience of gamers."
Neither the WiiWare edition's release date nor its price have been revealed yet. For now, try Machinarium by nabbing the Windows, Mac or Linux demo from FileShack.
