L.A. Noire Delayed, Expected 'First Half' of 2011
by Xav de Matos, Sep 02, 2010 4:00pm PDTIf you were looking forward to visiting a virtual world of "dames" and fedoras, you'll have to wait a little longer than expected.
In its Q3 earnings release, Take Two Interactive revealed its period piece L.A. Noire has been delayed until "the first half of calendar 2011."
Like traffic in the city its based on, delays have become an annoying expectation with Rockstar's latest title. After being shifted to a multiplatform release, L.A. Noire was scheduled to appear in September; however, the game was a no-show at multiple industry events, leading most to speculate another delay was on the horizon.
So, if you're looking to scratch that old-timey virtual world itch you're out of luck for the time being. Oh, or you can play Mafia 2. Another Take Two Interactive published title plagued with delay issues.
