Fourth Installment in 'Disaster Report' Survival Series Coming to PS3 with Move and 3D Support

One of the most unique survival franchises (with painfully average review scores) is set to continue on the PlayStation 3 in Japan this winter.

Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed [via IGN] that a fourth installment in the Disaster Report series--known as Zettai Zetsumei Toshi in Japan--is coming to the PlayStation 3 with Move and stereoscopic 3D support.

Like the other games in the survival series, players will be thrust in the middle of a major disaster and must escape the crumbling city around them. The fourth installment will add player customization and the ability to explore the inside of buildings in search of food, water, and (now) bathrooms--forcing players to pay special attention to their survivor's cleanliness throughout the experience as they carefully juggle stress levels.

The Irem-developed series previously made its way to North America on the PlayStation 2 with Disaster Report in 2003 and Raw Danger in 2007, with help from publisher Agetec. A third game in the series was released on PSP; however, it was not made available outside of Japan.

While the third game in the series skipped international release, we're hopeful Irem will launch Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4 for the PS3 in North America. It might have received average reviews, but Disaster Report is a lot of stressful fun.

Raw Danger was certainly different, and could be fun if you were in the right mood, but it was also unforgiving and ugly.
