Shit, when are we gonna get a cool new Sci-Fi setting to gush about? We got nothing right now, no Star Wars/Trek, nothing like BSG that will start out great before going downhill, hell we don't even have a show that's on for one season before getting canceled. All the good sci-fi novels from the past decade were one offs, or at least felt like it. As for video game stories... well anyway.

The highest grossing movie of all time was sci-fi and came out last year. Hint hint you moronic television studios

So I decided to resubscribe to kill time. Well, resubscribe isn't necessarily the word. August 7th I got an email saying my account had been accessed and resubscribed. I was all "Wtf." Then I got another email a couple days later saying that the account had been suspended and the password reset for suspected ties to gold selling. So I said, "Cool beans." And went about my business. So a few days ago, I decided I would resubscribe. But the account was active. Paid up starting August 7th on a card I had never seen before, with a charge for September 7th pending. So...yeah. Free WoW? Okay! I made sure to change my password to something really weird. Disassociated that card from my account as best as I could tell. Onto the questions!

I'm seriously leveling a Warrior for the first time ever. I'm doing alright, having trouble here and there. I went out and bought a much better weapon than what quests were giving me, which helped immensely. I'm currently leveling as Arms, as it seemed like a much more interesting tree (I like bleeds and the Battle Stance move set, which seems more tied to Arms than anything). Is Arms good for leveling? Are there any particular things I should be trying to get or any particular playstyles I should be adapting? My only real experience with 'Warrior' is in Bear Form on my Druid, which seems to be very, very different so far.

As a once avid worms player (worms 2 all the way through WWP) - I've got to say that Worms Reloaded has really let me down. I swear it's a console port. It's laggy, the rope sucks, aiming is too sensitive, the "ARE YOU READY?!?!" message is annoying as hell, the menus are ridiculously big and clunky (console!), tons of cool weapons are missing, and so many little things are just off. I was hoping for so much more..and I can only hope that the developers hear the disappointment from the players of olde, because I have so many issues with it that I barely even want to play it :/

Why are comic books so fucking complicated? I saw a review on IGN about Batman 702, written by Grant Morrison, which mentioned Batman RIP and Return of Bruce Wayne, I thought it sounded potentially interesting, so I decided to look it up.

What the shit. So I'm trying to figure out what the fuck I would actually have to read to understand the storyline, and it's like 14 different series. I couldn't even find a complete list anywhere. Why doesn't DC have this shit right on their site? It's not really on wikipedia either (they seem to be missing stuff like Batman & Robin which apparently is important? I have no idea).

This is the reason I never read "big title" series (with the except of Daredevil, which doesn't have 20 different series). Give me Y: The Last Man, Walking Dead, and Chew anyway. Who the hell wants to read something that is difficult to even understand what you need to buy?

So....I seriously don't get the shackhype on this movie, and I'm more than a little disappointed in you shackfags who are going to see it multiple times. What the fuck?

To clarify, I believe I am more or less in their target audience. I have been playing video games since 1984. I love movies, I love music, and hell I even worked in a comic book store for 4 years and then managed an arcade for a few years after that. However, I am not a skinny jeans hipster fucktard who updates his twitter and wears steampunk welding goggles out at night so I can take pictures of myself with my iPhone so I can masturbate to them later. (I WANT THE ONE WITH THE BIGGER GEE BEES)

So, that said.

How is this movie some sort of gamer homage? Other than Cera nabbing a "one up" and a litany of VERSUS intros to laughable fight scenes, what the fuck? I don't get the shack-spoo all over this movie. I did enjoy the music portions of the movie, but the rest of it? Shit, the only redeeming quality to this movie was looking at Mary Elizabeth Winstead and her half filled B cups the whole movie. (The redheaded drummer was kinda hot, but I have a thing for redheads so this does not count.)

Some of the comic book panel sequences were pretty ingeniously done, from a cinema perspective, but I just don't find watching an unemployed loser share a bed with a gay roommate who is having 6 way gay orgies next to you at night, while you bitch, moan and whine about your life in Canada endearing, trendy or even remotely interesting.

More than anything I found all the gamer shit to be tacked on and frankly, a little insulting from a gamer perspective. At least the "Gamer" FPS movie had some portions of shit right, even if it was laughably bad.

I guess Danny Glover said it best. "Maybe I'm too old for this shit." (I'm 33 btw)

can i just say iOS 4 on an iPod Touch is a horrible, bloated, gigantic nuclear septic piece of SHIT.

my battery life has seriously been halved, if not reduced by 75%. wifi connectivity goes out whenever the device sleeps. i have to turn off, then back on, wireless probably four times per day.

the UI is slower, it uses more memory, and the additional features are just not worth the drawbacks.

however, i can't return to 3.1.3 or 3.1.2 because a firmware update checks in with apple and lo and behold, they don't want anyone backpedaling to a proper, solid, efficient firmware.

so i guess i have to jailbreak this right? seriously, much hate for iOS 4. and i am usually pretty lenient on these mobile interfaces.

My iPod mini, iPod nano, and iPod touch 2nd gen all eventually gathered dust under the screen. The iPhone4 uses some new sort of fusing technology to glue together the glass and the display. Does that mean the dust is a thing of the past? I sure hope they do the same thing with the new nanos!
