'Mass Transportation Simulator' Cities in Motion Announced
by Alice O'Connor, Aug 20, 2010 7:30am PDTIf you dream of creating "the perfect public transport system that has no cancellations, no delays and where the passengers are always happy!" you'll be delighted to hear that publisher Paradox Interactive has announced a "mass transportation simulator," Cities in Motion.
Set in Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam, Cities in Motion involves meeting the cities' growing transportation needs between 1920 and 2020 while staying profitable. To accomplish this, you can use "more than 30 different modes of transport including buses, trams, subway trains and water buses".
A twelve-scenario campaign will be on offer, along with a sandbox mode and a map editor to create your own cities. Developed by fledgling Finnish studio Colossal Order, Cities in Motion is scheduled for release on PC in "early 2011."
