Castle Crashers Lands on PSN on August 31

The wait is over, ladies and gentlemen. Behemoth's downloadable darling Castle Crashers is hitting the PlayStation 3 on August 31.

Originally released exclusively on the Xbox 360 in 2008, Behemoth revealed the multiplayer beat-em-up would hit the PS3 in July 2009. Now, after "a year and a half" of development time, the upgraded title ready to launch. Castle Crashers on PS3 is priced at $15.

On its official blog, Behemoth reminds gamers that they will be on hand for PAX Prime beginning September 3. There, gamers will have the opportunity to play Castle Crashers in a four-player arcade cabinet and check out Behmoth's upcoming title, BattleBlock Theater.

I own both systems and i tell ps3 owners to pass on this one. It's incredibly mindless siderscrolling hack and slash. The montony of the game just wears on you and it's not very fun.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Thank the maker! I cannot believe it is finally coming out on PSN!! I have had a $20 spot sitting in my PS3 wallet for 6 months just for this game! Thank you Sony for finally letting it get by your strict quality assurance process. Fire Knight FTW!!

What is it about the art that makes it look like a Flash game? Not dissing on it, fun game, I just can't figure out what is triggering that for me.

I really wish they would release this on Steam or something, as well. It's just the sort of console game I'd love to play, but I don't have a console nor any real desire to get one. :(
