Soccer Star David Beckham Named 'Brand Ambassador' for EA Sports Active 2
by Xav de Matos, Aug 17, 2010 9:30am PDTDuring its GamesCom 2010 conference, EA Sports boss Peter Moore revealed soccer superstar David Beckham has joined the EA Sports team.
No, the footy star hasn't become a programmer for the publishing giant, but has been named a "brand ambassador" for the upcoming, multi-platform fitness title EA Sports Active 2. As "ambassador" Beckham will act as the spokesperson for the fitness franchise, appearing in advertising and retail marketing for EA Sports Active 2 in Europe and Australia. For North America, however, it appears ads will be sans the player. But if EA is looking for a spokesperson, shall we recommend Subway's Jared? He knows how to sell some product.
EA Sports Active 2 launches on November 19, 2010.
