Former Xbox Console-Exclusive Mass Effect 2 Headed to PS3 in January 2011 [Updated]
by Xav de Matos, Aug 17, 2010 7:48am PDT[Update: 10:15am] EA has revealed that the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 will featuresame content as originally released on the Xbox 360 and PC along with "hours of bonus content, making this the perfect introduction to BioWare's award-winning action RPG franchise." Still a little vague as to what the bonuses are, but we're awaiting response from EA on questions regarding currently available DLC and the (slim) possibility of Mass Effect 1 appearing on Sony's home console.
[Original: 9:48am] The wait is finally over. Rumors of Mass Effect hitting the PlayStation 3 have finally come true. While Amazon let news slip earlier this morning that Mass Effect 2 would come to the PS3, EA has just confirmed the franchise would jump to Sony's home console. During its GamesCom 2010 press conference, Bioware's Ray Muzyka revealed Mass Effect 2 would launch on the PlayStation 3 in January 2011.
It's unknown if the PS3 version will include the downloadable content currently available for the PC and Xbox 360 or if the content will be available a la carte. Shacknews has sent EA a request for clarification but has yet to hear back at the time of publishing.

If so, feel mixed for folks getting ME2. On one hand cool they get to play, on the other hand, stock in-game choices suck.
