Zenimax Acquires Arkane Studios

ZeniMax Media has added another feather to its cap with the purchase of veteran independent game developer, Arkane Studios.

Best known for developing Arx Fatalis and the PC version of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (and some involvement with Bioshock 2's development), Arkane Studios is the latest developer to join the Zenimax family alongside respected developers Bethesda Softworks and id Software.

After 11 years of independent development, we couldn't think of a better publishing partner," said Raphael Colantonio, Arkane's founder, CEO, president, and co-creative director. "We share so many creative values. Joining the ZeniMax family will allow us to grow stronger while staying true to the games we love."

Arkane Studios is already working on a project with Bethesda Softworks, though no specific information about the game is available, yet.
