Test Drive Unlimited 2 Delayed Until 2011
by Alice O'Connor, Aug 12, 2010 7:00am PDTAfter announcing in May that Test Drive Unlimited 2 would be released on September 21, publisher Atari today revealed that the racer has been delayed until the first quarter of 2011, apparently to give developer Eden Games more time to work on its multiplayer.
"By moving the title's release date to early 2011, we will be able to further advance the game and take into account consumer feedback to help ensure we deliver a great online lifestyle racing experience," Eden Games studio manager David Nadal explained.
Test Drive Unlimited 2's beta test will also be delayed accordingly. Eden will reveal the new date for the first phase "in the coming weeks."
The MMOR--that's Massively Open Online Racer, acronym adorers--will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 when it arrives during the first quarter of 2011.
