Nomura Would 'Love' to Develop a Sequel to The World Ends With You, When the 'Time is Right'
by Xav de Matos, Aug 10, 2010 11:00am PDTSince the breakout hit The World Ends With You launched on the Nintendo DS in 2008, role-playing game fanatics have been clamoring for a sequel. Thankfully for those fans, creator Tetsuya Nomura has also shown interest in continuing the critically acclaimed series.
"I definitely want to make a sequel," Nomura said in a recent interview with Nintendo Power. The Kingdom Hearts creator says that he is thrilled the original Nintendo DS title from Square Enix was so "well received" in North America but, although he would "love" to revisit the series, he is currently "very busy working on other titles right now."
"When the time is right, I would love to make another installment of The World Ends With You," Nomura told the magazine (via Siliconera). Hopefully we can look forward to collecting pins and utilizing insane psychic energy one day in the near future -- perhaps in adjustable 3D.
