Call of Duty: Black Ops Multiplayer Video Teases Video Editing, RC Cars
by Xav de Matos, Aug 09, 2010 1:00pm PDTA teaser trailer featuring the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops showcases a few additions to the franchise's popular online experience.
Taking a page out of Halo 3's feature notebook, Treyarch appears to be including a video recording and editing component to Black Ops. At the end of the trailer, a quick clip features a dock of replay options before moving onto menu options that point to the ability to create and save clips of your favorite kills.
The video also features a "ballistic" knife weapon, able to fire blades at enemies as well as an RC car outfitted with an explosive device, used to sneak up on unsuspecting adversaries.
According to the trailer, a "full multiplayer reveal" is scheduled in some form on September 1, 2010.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is scheduled to release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 9, 2010, alongside a "companion" Nintendo DS title from developer n-Space.

Also, bring back juggernaut and martyrdom. To hell with all you folks that are too dumb or too slow to know how to react to them.
A match recording feature like Halo 3's would be AWESOME and frankly should be standard for all multiplayer shooters. I really, really like being able to playback a round from different player perspectives.
Finally, let me customize the appearance of my character, even a little bit.

Is that a bad thing? Nah, it's just starting to get a bit stale. Until BF3 though... not much else.

The only plus I can see is that FRAPS isn't necessary for recording videos anymore. I'm not counting on mod support being in there; they'll probably pull an Infinity Ward and not say a single thing about it before, during, and after release, leaving gamers to find out the hard way that there are no multiplayer mods for the game.
