Caped Crusader Battles Crime in Batman: Arkham City on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in Fall 2011
by Xav de Matos, Aug 05, 2010 4:30pm PDTThe upcoming sequel to the critically and commercially acclaimed Batman-based, crime-fighting simulator has officially been awarded a proper name. Today, Warner Bros. revealed the game's title has been shifted to Batman: Arkham City, noting a Fall 2011 release across the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Batman: Arkham City will take place in a "heavily fortified, "mini-city" within the walls of Gotham. No further details have been revealed but a website for the game has launched alongside the reveal of an upcoming Game Informer cover featuring the Dark Knight's latest battle.
In June, Warner Bros. registered multiple domain names referencing the Dark Knight, leading some to believe the company was shopping for a proper title to the upcoming sequel. Of the fifteen registered domains, four reference Arkham City--including BatmanArkhamCity.com.
Batman: Arkham City is scheduled to release in Fall 2011 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
