Fable 3 Won't Have Kinect Functionality at Launch

Fable is the king at announcing a big feature and patching it in later. I love how they promoted co-op at E3 then cut it from the shipping game. Now Kinect. I shouldn't be surprised, and it's not like I'll be buying the game at all for Kinect.

Didn't we hear this about Fable 2: "won't have CO-OP and launch". Seems like these guys can't get anything together right for launch day.

Patch it and forget it, only no one will be playing it anymore by the time it gets patched.

Wow. Just wow. Fable III was one of the few non-party-style games that we knew about that Kinect had going for it and boom, it's gone. What are people going to be doing with their Kinect? Dancing all day, yelling at it over a movie to pause? "Pause. Pause! PAUSE! GOD DAMMIT, PAUSE PAUSE PAAAAUSE!" **movie pauses** "Finally. Thought I was going to play forever." **movie plays**

Yeah, I know you have to say, "Xbox" or whatever at the beginning. Point is, you can't use the camera part for controlling content while sitting (at least not during the demos at E3).

Meanwhile, Sony'll have patched support for PS3 Move into one of its best games out this year (Heavy Rain) that really begged for Move support because it seemed built for it. RE5's Move support will make it play a lot like the outright loved Wii version of RE4.

Now Molyneux saying they could add in some kind of support later is basically him saying it was cut and it ain't coming back. Having enjoyed the "Molyneux Experience" in Black and White, B&W2, Fable, and Fable 2, I don't expect anything great from Fable III anyway. He's all promise, no delivery anymore. All he's got is his name nowadays.

I didnt know people wanted that feature. I certainly dont.

Hey at least for once he lets us know when something's not going to make it into the final game.

He's still got a long way to go to gain my respect though. I only played Populous: The Beginning back then (which was just 'ok') so I don't have the pre-established fan loyalty he gained when his studio made great PC games, hence all I see of him is the lying corporate windbag Microsoft turned him into.

And Super Mario 3 didn't come with Powerglove support either.

Good to see microsoft's showcase is having the appropriate effect.
