Civilization 5 Demo Coming in September, Prior to Game's Scheduled Release
by Xav de Matos, Aug 04, 2010 7:00am PDTStrategists looking for an early taste of the latest Civilization are in for a treat, as 2K has confirmed a demo for the fifth major game in the franchise's history is on the way.
The demo for Civilization V is slated to launch prior to the game's September release, according to the game's official website.
Although details for the demo are scarce, initial speculation is that the trial will carry the same features as the demo for Civilization IV. The CivIV demo allowed gamers to select one of four civilizations, each with a limited tech tree and play 100 turns.
Sid Meier's Civilization V is scheduled to release on September 21 in North America in a standard and special edition package, both at retail and online.
