No kidding about Capcom. They are just not doing well.

I think part (maybe even most) of Capcom's problems come from totally unrealistic expecations for some of their games. Did anyone else, besides Capcom, expect Lost Planet 2 to do all that well. And a lot of the stuff they say caused the game to do poorly were known to them before the game launched, so why did they still represent such crazy expecations to investors, etc. They had the same info then that they have now. I think Capcom should release a "wishful thinking" sales projection and then a real one. Oh Capcom, you can be so crazy sometimes...

Plus, just releasing games that are not compelling. If they released -better- designed games they wouldn't be in that bind. Americans are not going to buy your bad game unless it is named 'Halo' or 'Gears of War' and even then one bad release and they'll be weary.

Franchises like Lost Planet and Monster Hunter don't seem to be a good fit for American gamers. I don't know if it's their visual style or gameplay but it's something. These games dont seem to be selling well. Any thoughts?

i didnt play alot of lost planet 2 becasue im mainly a single player guy and that single player was pretty awfull. but i did try the multiplayer for a week or so and i think that as enjoyable (to me atleast, possibly everybody else in this thread) that devising a stratergy and each of your freinds having a verry specific objective is, i reckon the mindset for gaming with freinds in our community is fetch a few beers and lets have a laugh, see what we can fuck up, which is why i always take a copy of tekken with me, the perfect drunk button masher, but lost planet 2 isnt meant to be played like this and i think that might be its problem, in a way its too serious.
