Rush's '2112' in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 22, 2010 6:20am PDTCanadian prog-rockers Rush's seven-part musical epic tale '2112' will feature in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, publisher Activision has announced.
The "suite" from Rush's 1976 album '2112' tells of a dystopian future where music has been banned--a popular concept among rock operas. Players will rock through the twenty-minute piece during the Warriors of Rock campaign.
"I love the idea of Guitar Hero; they have combined two great things--music and fun," said Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson in the announcement. "I think it's a great way to introduce people of all ages to music of various styles by all kinds of different bands, while providing a launching pad for kids who want to get into playing music."
Developed by Neversoft, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is headed to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii this September. "More than 90 tracks" are due to be on disc, including these seven new Rush revelations and a fair number already announced.

That was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen, and I've been to Pink Floyd. Absolutely incredible.
