Xbox Live Marketplace Schedule: July 22 to August 2
by Xav de Matos, Jul 21, 2010 10:00am PDTXbox Live's Major Nelson has released the schedule for Xbox Live Marketplace content from July 22 to August 2, noting discounts on Borderlands and Forza Motorsport 3 DLC and new Avatar Marketplace Gear. Next week brings the second game in the Summer of Arcade, Hydro Thunder Hurricane for 1200MS Points ($15).
Avatar items from the fantasy realm of Dragon Age: Origins and the sci-fi world of Halo: Reach are incoming on July 22 and 23, respectively. Next week, all Borderlands DLC will drop to 400MS Points each (50% off from 800MS Points) for the Deal of the Week, followed by discounts on multiple Forza Motorsport 3 DLC packs. As always, sale pricing is limited to Xbox Live Gold members.
As was previously announced, the first DLC pack for Alan Wake will release on July 27 for 560MS Points; however, the content is free with the use of the token included with new purchases of the psychological thriller.
On July 27, Games on Demand adds three titles: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 and The Lord of the Rings: Conquest. We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but if your plan is to throw down in some Conquest multiplayer action, we're sorry to remind you that EA has already deactivated the game's online servers.

The defense was that no players would be on the inactive games, this game is supposedly no longer active multiplayer so I would like to see a reduction in cost....
Mind you, I would not have bought it anyways and this is just my opinion and I support them shutting off the old servers for old games that no one uses anymore.
