Morning Discussion

Black & White allowed players to synchronise their in-game weather with the world outside their window but on this sweltering hot and muggy day, my heat-muddled mind is crying out for a game that'll do the exact opposite.

I want to be playing a game which shakes a fine dusting of snow over everything in summer, turning lakes to ice and blasting icy winds through my speakers from left to right. "Lawks-a-larky!" the comical British-y NPCs would exclaim. "It's colder than a witch's tit and no mistake!" Yes, yes I feel cooler and more at ease just thinking about it.

Please, video games. Yes, it's pointless, expensive, impractical and derision-worthy but I need this. You remember all that fun we had together? We're friends, yeah? Please?

or one of the UT99 or UT2004 levels that takes place in winter. Or even DMTundra from Unreal 1.

I have Crysis: Warhead but haven't even loaded it yet because I got bored of Crysis and never finished that, so it's pushed quite down my colossal list of games to finish.

I ride the bleeding edge of PC Gaming.

I still haven't finished Warhead yet - I think the last time I played I was about halfway through

Must go back and finish it off at some point :/

I thought it was lame the first time I played through it on medium settings. Running through it again with a better computer with everything on Ultra and playing at night in the dark really changes those levels. Turns them into boring yawn fests into really atmospheric and creepy levels where you are constantly getting spooked by aliens and always running out and looking for ammo.

The game has to be played on Delta though.

Bored of Crysis? That game was intense for me. Loved every minute of it.

Just played through Warhead and then I was watching jon_ playing Crysis and it was weird seeing the guy I played in Warhead being a character in Crysis.

I was initially bored with it until I decided to go fists only. With exception to the forced shooting parts, I punched damned near everything to death in both Crysis games.

Crysis, Cryostasis, MGS4, Resistance FOM and Lost Planet are the games you might be looking for.

Alice, like Far Cry2, Crysis is an entirely different game when you play it on the hardest setting. It's not just harder, the actual game is played differently. Give it a go! Crysis is one the best games to come out in the last 5 years if you ask me.
