    Filthysock, really? Two replies to your own post? First, he provides metrics for average paid apps and free apps, development costs, and median profit for developers. That specifically includes the value-per-phone metric. And still concludes that the iPhone users are not more valuable, your basis for argument here is "Nuh uh?"
    
    Secondly, the author explains his credentials when it comes to advertising right in the article. So when you reply to yourself with "hahaha this dude knows NOTHING of advertising" it makes me scratch my head a bit.
    
    Third. The Pop Idol thing is an interesting case. He's not talking about a purely mobile approach -- he's talking (again) about penetration and potential earnings. Given that every cell phone that exists can SMS it makes much more sense for them to use that as a revenue stream than create an iPhone application to do the same thing.
