LEGO Harry Potter Trailers Show Wizard Gameplay

If you're unable to play the LEGO Harry Potter demo on Xbox 360 and can't wait for the PC or PlayStation 3 demo to arrive in "late June," this pair of gameplay trailers will give you a bit of a peek at LEGO Star Wars developer TT Games' block-based adventure.

PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP editions of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 are on the cards, due out June 25 in Europe and June 29 in North America.

The first of today's two trailer shows the young hoodlum Potter invading the peaceful village of Hogsmeade with his vandalism and violence. Tsk, the youth of today.

Next, see Harry Potter and chums meet the beastly basilisk.

I haven't played any of the Lego games... I know there seems to be a good following/fascination with them. Any particular reason why? Can you guys give me some quick thoughts on what to expect - thinking of picking them up. Should I start with the first and play through the most recent or do any titles really stand out?

The way they went all-out with the basic mechanics caught me off guard in the demo, but I think I'll love this.
