Sadly looking at trailers it just looks like another Bioshock, which will no doubt be fun, but not what I want from XCOM

The other thing I wondered is if E3 had anything new about WoW, or Diablo 3. And also I was hoping, since my main gaming is currently done on PC, if you might touch on this platform at least slightly more often. I know it may not be as sexy as consoles, but with the 10+million in WoW and the ?25+million on steam alone that makes for a pretty sizable market share.
Oh and one more thing, I had heard something about a new Kid Icarus being shown, but almost no one has covered it for more than 3 seconds. Given that a number of podcasts, and gamers have speculated/yearned for this for years I am surprised it has not garnered more buzz. Thanks for the great work by all once again.
As a side note: I was at the E3, but unfortunately I didn't catch a glimpse of Garnett. I was prepared to scream like a girl out of excitement, since Garnett is in my top-2 of gaming personalities. (The other one being David Jaffe, thanks for asking.) Oh well, maybe I get to participate again some other year.
But I actually wanted to make a comment with regard to the issue of "where do hardcore gamers fit in the motion control equation": am I the only one, who is looking forward to seeing an RTS with Move and 3D support? Mouse and keyboard have been the ultimate control devices so far, but what if you could see the battlefield in 3D, use your wands to select units in 3D space, have all command menus hovering right in front of you and use iPad (Google Earth) like pinching, panning and rotating to zoom in and out and move the map.
That's actually the only genre that I would want to see supported. That I would really, really want.

Btw, what song is played right @ the very end of the podcast? With the lyrics "Quit trying to waste my time". Groovy tune.

It occurred to me that indie games today are like the video games that were coming out when I was a kid (back in the dark ages of the eighties) and video game developers could create AAA titles by experimenting with technology. I don't see games like Adventure Construction Set, Archon, Alternate Reality: The City, Autoduel, Ballblazer, the Eidolon, Impossible Mission ... well, I could go on ... but I don't see those games being made at the AAA level anymore.
Are indie game developers bringing back the whimsy of the 1980s?
While that's going on, I wish Microsoft would stop making hardware and concentrate on fixing Windows.

Team Ico has always been really great about allowing the player to experience emotion by the way button presses and context sensitivity works within their games. Also, their games are always created with a "design by subtraction" philosophy of control. Shadow of the Colossus used what, like 5 or 6 buttons each for simple actions? So, as hardcore and niche as The Last Guardian likely will be, I could see actual benefits to using Move to control the game without very many drawbacks.
Anyway, thoughts? Please don't crucify me, its just an idea.

Proof? Check out Kung Fu Live for Playstation Eye.
So my question is, did you guys play Eyetoy's Kinetic? (Sony and Nike's fitness game) I'm asking because I haven't, but I remember that Ubisoft's Your Body looks like what I seen of Eyetoy Kinetic.

Just look at all the amazing sequels we've had recently: Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption (which is a pseudo sequel to the tech in GTA IV). When developers stop needing to worry about tech and graphic updates to their engines, they can really focus on giving the player a solid experience and trying new things rather than screwing with some stupid technology updates or motion controls. Even at this E3, which was more interesting, honestly: Portal 2 and Red Faction: Armageddon, or Dance Central and Sorcery?
Anyway, its probably less of a big deal than I'm making it out to be, but I guess what I'm trying to say is: heavy innovation isn't always better than interesting iteration.
YES!! my favorite

Your combination of insight, enthusiasm, wit, humor, on point criticism, and general excitement towards games and the game industry is a welcome breath of fresh air.
I can honestly say this is the first video game podcast I would be willing to pay a small subscription for if you can keep the quality up week to week.
Thank you again and keep up the good work.
