For Burnout Paradise I caution you to read the fine print:

"EA MAY RETIRE ONLINE FEATURES AFTER 30 DAYS NOTICE POSTED ON www.ea.com.
INCLUDES SOFTWARE THAT COLLECTS DATA ONLINE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE INGAME ADVERTISING."

So EA not only controls the servers, but advertising directed in game.

Big Surf Island and Cops & Robbers DLC for Burnout Paradise is not available for the PC version.

They got lazy and then got that big fat fucking check from EA to do the next NFS game and said fuck it to Burnout Paradise PC.

Can't recommend Burnout Paradise enough. Free-roam crashing is awesome.
