Silent Hill 8 Announced for 2011
by Alice O'Connor, Jun 16, 2010 2:56pm PDTKonami has announced a new instalment in its long-running survival horror series Silent Hill, currently codenamed simply Silent Hill 8, is in the works at Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot developer Vatra Games for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
"Staying true to the franchise's original roots," Konami promises, "the game returns with another third person horror experience, and an all new thought provoking storyline."
As long-time Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka has parted ways with the series, the soundtrack will be provided by 'Dexter' and 'Hellraiser: Bloodline' composer Daniel Licht.
Silent Hill 8 is due out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 some time in 2011.
