Deus Ex: Human Revolution E3 Trailer Arrives

[Original] The new Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer publisher Square Enix teased earlier this week has arrived by way of the Square Enix Germany and its YouTube Channel, offering a computer-generated glimpse into the shooter prequel.

PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution are in development by Eidos Montreal, with all three expected to hit in "Early 2011."

There is also a bit of a Star Wars prequel problem in regards to the technology looking more advanced and shiny than in the other games despite being earlier in the time line. There are various ways you can rationalize this, I suppose. But it still seems odd.
However, regardless of how the game turns out the trailer was a good watch.

As to the "Star Wars Prequel" problem... Dude, the original came out almost ten years ago. In that time, so much progress has been made in terms of technology that it'd be stupid to try and remain consistent with the original Deus Ex game. Deus Ex is, like the work of Stephenson or Oshii, to put emergent technology and philosophy into conversation with each other.
I'm just hoping we don't get a replay of the shitty Deus Ex sequel. The original was so sophisticated and literary, referencing everything from Bakhtin to Chesterton, and then they turn out a sequel that's about as intellectually demanding as a UFC title fight.
