First Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Tracks, Trailer
by Alice O'Connor, Jun 04, 2010 6:37am PDTPublisher Activision has unveiled the first hard-rockin' batch of songs from Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, as well as releasing a teaser trailer for Neversoft and Vicarious Visions' rhythm game sequel which was previously known as Guitar Hero 6.
Warriors of Rock "will once again redefine music gaming," Activision claims, with a "completely redesigned rock-inspired guitar controller," 'Quickplay+' challenges and a "story-driven" Quest Mode starring Gene Simmons as "the Demi-God of Rock."
Players will embark upon a "larger-than-life, epic rock journey" from a New York punk club to "molten lava fields of rock treachery," transforming into "rock warriors" with "unique, game-changing powers" to help the KISS bassist "save rock n' roll." Right then.
An impressive track list will be required to make up for Gene Simmons' presence but WoR is doing well so far. Artists revealed today include Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, Megadeth, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Slayer, ZZ Top and a lot of 'young people music.' The first of Warriors of Rock's "more than 90 tracks" to be confirmed are listed below.
- AFI - "Dancing Through Sunday"
- Avenged Sevenfold - "Bat Country"
- Black Sabbath - "Children Of The Grave"
- Buzzcocks - "What Do I Get?"
- Children Of Bodom - "If You Want Peace... Prepare For War"
- The Cure - "Fascination Street"
- Def Leppard - "Pour Some Sugar On Me (Live)"
- Dethklok - "Bloodlines"
- DragonForce - "Fury of the Storm"
- Drowning Pool - "Bodies"
- Foo Fighters - "No Way Back"
- Foreigner - "Feels Like The First Time"
- Jane's Addiction - "Been Caught Stealing"

- Megadeth - "Sudden Death"
- Metallica & Ozzy Osbourne - "Paranoid (Live)"
- Muse - "Uprising"
- My Chemical Romance - "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"

- Rammstein - "Waidmanns Heil"
- The Rolling Stones - "Stray Cat Blues"

then again i'd rather a ton of cheese rock than the apparent sappy piano pop that will likely fill RB3.
Also, it's not so much about buying a disc full of some great songs and a bunch of fillers as it is buying songs that I want.
I will be getting RB3 because I know it will have a full import.
The series is tired out but honestly the music junkie in me loves it still. I mean I spent my teens working in a record store its engrained in me to like this stuff.

I havn't bought a music game since then as the songs just havnt seemed good enough. Maybe 6 can do it. This list is a start, but still not quite good enough.
