by Chris Faylor, May 26, 2010 7:40am PDTFollowing Monday's revelation of a May 26 release for the downloadable Xbox 360 edition of DOOM II, Nerve Software's enhanced port of id Software's classic first-person shooter sequel is now available through Xbox Live at 800 Microsoft Points / $10.
On top of the content found in the original release of DOOM II for PC, the 35MB download includes a "never-before-seen bonus chapter" dubbed "No Rest for the Living" that was crafted by Nerve Software, plus online and offline competitive and co-op multiplayer.
As with all Live Arcade games, a free demo is available. In addition to the full game, those that purchase DOOM II on Xbox 360 will also be able to unlock an "old-school DOOM II T-Shirt" and "full-body DOOM Marine uniform" for their Xbox Live Avatar.

Really looking forward to seeing what people have to say about the new Episode.
PS: The reason why the new episode is 9 levels long is, in a way, to show homage to the first episode of doom 1 which to this day I still remember being one of my favorite experiences ever in a first person shooter.
