Google Celebrates Pac-Man's 30th with Style
by Chris Faylor, May 21, 2010 11:40am PDTCelebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the pill-popping puck, online search giant Google has debuted an interactive rendition of its logo that allows players to control Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man as they munch their way through it.
To play, simply load up Google and hit "Insert Coin." Clicking on the "Insert Coin" button a second time brings pill-pulverizing princess into the mix. Mr. Pac-Man is controlled with the mouse or a keyboard's arrow keys, while Ms. Pac-Man uses WASD.
Namco Bandai, which owns the rights to Pac-Man, plans to properly celebrate the icon's thirtieth birthday at E3 on June 15, where it will unveil his "next evolution" and "the future of the franchise" with "unreleased titles on console, mobile, arcade, and more."
