As hardware makers Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony have all checked in with their latest financial earnings, we've combed through the reports, added the figures, and now present this glimpse of each console's lifetime sales, accurate as of March 31, 2010:

• Wii - 70.93 Million Units

• Xbox 360 - 40.3 Million Units

• PlayStation 3 - 35.95 Million Units

• Nintendo DS - 128.89 Million Units

  • of which Nintendo DSi - 17.82 Million

  • of which Nintendo DSi XL - 2.08 Million

Worldwide lifetime sales figures for the PlayStation 2 and PSP are not available, as Sony only began reporting sales, not shipments, after the launch of the PlayStation 3.
