Black Wii Coming to North America in May?
by Chris Faylor, Apr 27, 2010 10:40am PDTWhile Nintendo has yet to make the news official, multiple retailers tell Kotaku that the stylish black Wii released in Japan last year is coming to the U.S. on May 9 and Canada on May 23.
Reportedly, the darker colored console will come packed with a copy of Wii Sports Resort and the Wii MotionPlus add-on required by the game at $199.99. That's the same price the existing white Wii, which only comes with plain old Wii Sports, currently carries. However, Warlmart offered a similar bundle--including a white Wii, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Motion Plus--earlier this year at $199.99.
Though Nintendo has yet to release anything other than the white-colored Wii in North America, the company has released multiple colored accessories alongside their standard white iterations, including black Wii Remotes with black Wii Motion Plus add-ons, pink Wii Remotes, blue Wii Remotes, and a black Classic Controller Pro.

still, better than retrosilver crap that so many other electronic manufacturers have been doing lately as well.
i do like black electronics though, they absorb light and tend to be unobtrusive to the eye when in the visual vicinity, which is a good thing unless you want to be constantly distracted by the device more than what the device is putting out on the screen.
