Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Revealed (Updated)
by Chris Faylor, Mar 30, 2010 3:40pm PDTUpdate: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will also be released on Wii and Nintendo DS, according to the official site, which also offers word that pre-orders will be able to "download a bonus suit," likely in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Original: That new Spider-Man game publisher Activision has slated for the "back half of the year" is called Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2010, according to GameSpot's "first look" preview.
Developed by Beenox (Bee Movie, Monsters vs. Aliens), the comic book brawler uses a number of visual styles as Spider-Man's exploits take him to a variety of alternate dimensions. Of those, two have been revealed: "Noir" and the traditional "Amazing."
The dimension-spanning tale itself is being spun by Dan Slott, a veteran comic book writer whose past works include runs on Amazing Spider-Man and She-Hulk.
Considering that Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick recently said "our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years," all eyes are on this latest effort.

I didn't like any of the Spiderman games so far. The one for the first movie at least had a normal city, but you couldn't go to the ground and were fighting robots for the most time.
