Heavy Rain Getting PlayStation Move Support
by Jeff Mattas, Mar 26, 2010 8:00pm PDTIn a "move" seemingly inspired by a blinding flash of the obvious, Quantic Dream's adventure-thriller Heavy Rain has been targeted to receive motion-control integration courtesy of the upcoming PlayStation Move peripheral.
As reported by MTV Multiplayer, Heavy Rain was initially designed for use with the PlayStation Move, but the game ended up being ready for market long before the new motion control scheme. MTV's most recent report (via Eurogamer) indicates that the Belgian magazine Chief obtained confirmation from Sony that 'Move' support will be added to Heavy Rain this fall, likely via a downloadable patch.
While Heavy Rain's gameplay makes it of the most natural candidates for motion controls, it'll be interesting to see what other titles end up receiving any post-release 'Move' integration. Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet is already slated for Move support.
