Splinter Cell: Conviction Goes Gold with New Media
by Chris Faylor, Mar 24, 2010 11:40am PDTThe Xbox 360 version of Ubisoft Montreal's Splinter Cell: Conviction has gone gold--meaning it's off to manufacturing--so to celebrate, the company has passed along some new media of the stealth-action sequel.
The theme behind today's new trailer and batch of screenshots is "visual signature." I'll let the folks from Ubisoft take it from here from here--as usual, the trailer cuts between talking heads and in-game footage--but do keep in mind that Splinter Cell: Conviction hits Xbox 360 the week of April 13 with the PC version now due circa April 27, 2010.

So I ask Shack this is Sony and the PS3 technically doing almost the same thing and even your BlueRay player like LG or Samsung? Yes its not using an Internet connection 24/7 while watching or playing but its damn close.
Recently bought Assassins Creed 2 for the PC with the DRM and its an awesome version yet it has the DRM why should I suffer and not buy it for the DRM?
Ok here is my issue. I bought Blueray New Moon for my girlfriend and we watched it in our Blueray player (LG), and guess what it didn't work? We basically had to connect to the Internet, usb key was not an option to be able to watch the movie. Is that not a sort of DRM, I know they say the new features force this update but come on.
Now the other major issue I have that most of you fail to bitch about is the PS3, practically all the new games force you to update your firmware from the internet. Now this is a form of DRM as well, yes you do it once but its pretty close.
So what I am getting at is should we all miss out on all the rest of Ubisofts games for now on the PC since they have this shit DRM, when almost everything is starting to have some sort of DRM?
I am really torn here, ya I could get these games on my 360 or PS3 but I want to play it on my PC.
Also what good did it do that most of us did not buy Assassins Creed 2 PC, I really don't think Ubisoft gives a shit or is gona change...

At least I, for one, will be happily playing this baby on my 360.
But even as a HUGE SC fan, no go ubi, no go.

Now I might get it used if I get it at all.

Their latest DRM stunt is contemptible to say the least.
