Command & Conquer Vets Form Supergiant Games
by Chris Faylor, Mar 11, 2010 11:40am PSTFormer members of Command & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3 developer Electronic Arts Los Angeles have gone off on their own with a new independent studio named Supergiant Games.
According to its official site, the company--comprised of C&C3 / Red Alert 3 designers Amir Rao and Gavin Simon plus musician Darren Korb--is readying a game for unspecified "digital download platforms."
That game is targeting a 2011 release and appears to be two-dimensional, as the company's about page notes "we're always on the look out for talented 2D artists."
"We are a group of former EALA developers who quit our jobs in August 2009 and moved into a house together to make games," says the company. "It's pretty awesome."
