First Modern Warfare 2 DLC Arrives March 30

The first batch of downloadable multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will hit the Xbox 360 on March 30, 2010.

Developer Infinity Ward revealed the date today with a satirical self-help site, noting that the Xbox Live download should help ease the symptoms of Mapathy: "a state of indifference to the same old maps on has been playing for the last several months."

Details on the exact maps and pricing, as well as when the maps will hit other platforms, remain unknown. As previously reported, the first two multiplayer map packs for Modern Warfare 2 will debut on Xbox 360 before making their way to PC and PlayStation 3.

In the before time, in the long-long-ago, we were able to self-medicate our map-related psychological disorders by making our own fucking maps, or downloading maps other talented people had made.

Since the Mapocalypse, it looks like players will be stuck with whatever warmed-over shit these douchebags want to sell us.

I'm torn... if I buy these map packs, am I supporting the war-torn Infinity Ward studios, or the douche bags from Acti-kotick? I want new maps cuz I'm very tired of the old ones, but I don't want to put anymore money into Activisions pockets.

I think I actually suffer from "mapoplexy", extreme neurological trauma induced by getting insta-killed by grenade launchers, airstrikes, and that smart-ass who's always shooting through the hole in the floor on Skidrow. Can DLC do anything about that?
