Gran Turismo 5 Goes NASCAR in New Trailer
by Brian Leahy, Mar 05, 2010 12:00pm PSTAnnounced last year, Sony and developer Polyphony Digital snagged the NASCAR license for Gran Turismo 5. It's kind of a big deal for the PlayStation 3 exclusive simulation racer, as Microsoft and Turn 10's competing Xbox 360-exclusive Forza Motorsport 3 included stock vehicles, but hit the track bare of any official licensing.
So then, how about a new Gran Turismo 5 trailer showing off NASCAR in-engine?
Often delayed, the game will miss its previous March release date in Japan, but is apparently still on track for a summer 2010 release in North America and Europe.

This reminds me of Blizzard back in World of Warcraft beta... they were adding the Tram and all I could think of us "uhh yea okay, this game is done already"

... that's why you've got cars passing each other below the yellow line, way to go. You can't spell Polyphony without phony.
Nice damage modeling too, Gordon hits the damn wall and nothing happens to his car or carries a realistic inertia.
Can't you just get back to making good sim-lite games?
