First Crysis 2 Screenshots Released
by Brian Leahy, Mar 04, 2010 10:49am PSTTime to upgrade, folks. Crytek has released the first official screenshots for its upcoming FPS Crysis 2, which uses the new CryENGINE 3. They look really, really good.
The game will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year. I'm guessing these shots are from the PC version, though.

I can't actually see a single polygon edge...
There's no way this is a gameplay model. Even for a cinematic-specific model it looks way too heavy on the polygon side. It has to be the hi-res model used for pre-rendered videos that they plopped as-is into the game.
Unless the game is supposed to be release in 3 years (or unless it runs at exactly 3 fps) I call bullshit on that character model.
The rest of those screen looks legit (and looks really great), but I call bullshit on that model. There's no way this will be in the game.
