Alpha Protocol Gets Release Date, Again
by Alice O'Connor, Feb 25, 2010 6:00am PSTThe release date for Obsidian Entertainment's twice-delayed PC, PlayStation 3 Xbox 360 and espionage RPG Alpha Protocol has finally beeen settled, according to IGN.
Publisher Sega reportedly told IGN that Alpha Protocol will be released in North America on June 1, after hitting Australia on May 27 then Europe on May 28. The RPG was first due out in February 2009 before being delayed to October 6, 2009, then delayed again.
In September 2009 Obsidian made an impassioned defense of Alpha Protocol after a leaked internal Sega document said it "felt barely RPG" and was "too challenging."
Founded by veterans of Fallout and Planescape: Torment developer Black Isle Studios, Obsidian is also currently working on Fallout: New Vegas--due out this fall.
