New Just Cause 2 Trailers Chock Full 'o Stunts

By Jeff Mattas, Feb 19, 2010 2:50pm PST Two new trailers for Avalanche Studios' upcoming open-jungle shooter, Just Cause 2, have arrived to serve up another couple of doses of physics-based, sandboxy mayhem.

Both videos are part of Just Cause 2's 'Anatomy of a Stunt' series. The first, called 'Using Gravity to Eliminate Enemies' summarizes the subtleties surrounding Newtonian principles, and how players can use those principles to dispatch enemies with style.

The second trailer in the series is called 'Destroying Fuel Tanks', but it could just as easily be called 'Jumping Over Exploding Tanks of Jet Fuel While Standing on the Hood of a Sports Car in a Way that Would Make Evel Knievel Feel Like a Wuss.'

Just Cause 2 parachutes on to PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 on March 23.

  • You see, this is not necessarily an extremely superb game. Im not saying it sucks, hell no im buying this the day it comes out. But the advertising for this game is so great, a ton of people are willing to buy it, and actually know about it. I wish devs like Crytek and Realtime Worlds and Volition would take on this type of extensive advertisement, even if its only a little video. I think Crysis had like 2 commercials or trailers for it that were really professional, and it showed by its popularity and sales. It would make a world of difference on the size of the crowd they are able to reach.
