by Chris Faylor, Feb 10, 2010 2:21pm PSTBlizzard expects the third expansion pack for its massively multiplayer sensation World of Warcraft to arrive in the "back half of 2010," according to CEO Mike Morhaime.
Speaking to investors during an Activision Blizzard conference call, Morhaime added that the game has a "global subscribership of approximately 11.5M subscribers."
With the StarCraft II beta launching this month and the final game expected in mid-2010, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm marks Blizzard's second high-profile release of the year, with Morhaime boasting that "2010 [is] shaping up as biggest in Blizzard history" as it's the "1st time in 12 years with 2 major products expect in the same calendar year."
