by Chris Faylor, Feb 05, 2010 12:20pm PSTWith the weekend near, you know the usual discounts on PC digital downloads can't be too far behind. Let's check in with the usual suspects and see what they've got on offer.

also, planet alcatraz is actually not horrible. it has the distinction of having the worst voice acting and localization of any game ive ever played. yes, really. i think all the voice acting is done by one guy. for every character. not that it matters, because what he is saying makes no fucking sense... id like to think its an example of things "lost in translation" but honestly, i suspect the story would be incomprehensible even to native speakers. HOWEVER, that said, the gameplay is actually reasonably entertaining. its sort of like if fallout and baldurs gate got drunk, banged, and had a severely retarded 3d love-child.
ok you know, now that i think about it more... i guess planet alcatraz is actually a pretty shitty game. i dont know why i like it... but somehow, i do. besides, how can you not like a game with dialog like: "if the universe has an ass, it is this planet. if that ass has a hole, it is this town." i ask you?
