Splinter Cell: Conviction Release Date 'Set in Stone'

Initially due in 2007, Splinter Cell: Conviction has seen its fair share of delays and missed release windows. But now, the game's release date has, quite literally, been set in stone.

April 13, 2010 is the date inscribed on the stones sent to various outlets, including IGN.

"To be crystal clear, Splinter Cell Conviction will be out on April 13 (US), April 15 (Europe + Australia), April 16 (UK)," publisher Ubisoft revealed of the PC and Xbox 360 stealth-action game through its Twitter, following the obligatory "set in stone" reference.

Oh man, this and RDR are gonna kill my spring. The Splinter Cell games always have some of the most memorable levels and "gaming moments" for me: The train in Pandora Tomorrow, the first lighthouse level in Chaos Theory, a bunch in Double Agent, I have a feeling this one's gonna be the best yet.

If Ubisoft didn't require an internet connection at ALL TIMES I would be much more interested in giving them my money. The only people who will be able to play single player games uninterrupted are the pirates...I lose internet now and then, I also go to big lan parties with very limited internet....sooo this becomes far less appealing now :(

There's also the possibility of errors and disconnects on their end. So at any time your game just won't work and....you will have to....suck it up and deal?
