Mass Effect 2 Day One 'Zaeed' DLC Briefly Delayed

Those playing Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360 will have to wait a day or two before they can download and access one of the two add-ons that come free with a new copy of the just-released shooter-RPG.

In particular, the add-on that introduces a new party member named Zaeed has experienced "some delays" on Xbox 360, explains BioWare's Michael Gramble. The studio expects that the content will be "unavailable for X360 until Wednesday/Thursday."

The other add-on, which brings a new area--the name of which spoils a certain event in the game's opening--is unaffected and currently available on Xbox 360 and PC, with BioWare's wording suggesting that the Zaeed DLC is likewise available now on PC.

Though you can login to Bioware's site and register your keys and download and install this content, you still can't use it. Apparently EA's servers which you have to login to to access the content in game are down.

They are aware of the problem at least: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/776961
