Mass Effect 2 and MAG Double-Team GameStop for Midnight Monday Release

Tuesday of next week marks the official launch dates for BioWare's epic sci-fi RPG Mass Effect 2 and Zipper Interactive's massively-multiplayer shooter, MAG. For those who can't wait to get their hands on one (or both) of these high-profile titles, retailer GameStop has decided to hold dual-launch midnight events on Monday at more than 2,500 of its stores nationwide.

You can check this list to see if your GameStop is participating. The stores holding midnight launches will be open on Monday night at 10 PM (local time), two hours before the selling begins.

Some pre-launch shenanigans are also on the agenda, wherein eager gamers can reportedly "test their soldier skills with a tank building challenge, commando dress up contest, grenade launch and other games of skill." Commando cos-play seems fairly self explanatory but a bunch of anxious hardcore gamers building tanks and launching grenades in a parking lot late on a Monday night sounds like a recipe for chaos.
