Tekken 6 Gets Online Co-op Next Week
by Chris Faylor, Jan 13, 2010 3:10pm PSTHaving repeatedly vowed to bring online cooperative play to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6, publisher Namco has now announced that the free update to the fighter's Scenario Campaign will roll out next Monday, January 18.
Similar in concept to Streets of Rage or any other arcade brawler, Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign sees two players working their way through stages and beating up "vicious opponents and their legions of minions" instead of engaging in one-on-one combat. Previously, it could only be played offline with a computer-controlled ally.
The download will also bring with it "Improved Mokujin AI," with Namco explaining that "in online versus mode, Mokujin's fighting style changes with every round."
