Metro 2033 Story Trailer: Humanity Is Obsolete
by Chris Faylor, Jan 08, 2010 2:50pm PSTProviding another glimpse of the perils that await the underground residents of post-apocalyptic Moscow, publisher THQ has issued a new trailer from 4A's survival shooter Metro 2033. "You've heard about survival of the fittest. Guess what? We lost."
Oh sure, you've got mutants and the like, but thus far, it looks like the real danger comes not from some overgrown five-armed blob named Joe, but fellow humans. Go figure.
Then again, Metro 2033 doesn't hit PC and Xbox 360 for a bit yet, so, uh, maybe there's still a chance that everyone will learn to play nicely before its "early 2010" arrival?

There is a fairly substantial extreme right, fascist movement in Russia so it's entirely possible that in the Moscow of 2033, there are factions that are extreme left-wing (the Marx reference) and extreme right-wing (the Gestapo reference).
