New Mass Effect 2 screenshots and a trailer focus on the 'Vanguard' class, a close-range specialist with a powerful charge attack.

BioWare's sci-fi RPG sequel arrives for PC and Xbox 360 on January 26. Players will be able to import saves from the first Mass Effect to continue the tale of their own personal Shepard and the choices they made as well as receive various bonuses.

For the love of god where is the Solider????? I don't care about biotics, I'm not a mage. I don't care about hacking I'm not a rogue. I want to see full frontal assault troops dripping in massive hulking Terminator armour packed with weapons that will make the Emperor cry.

Ok....ok...wrong game. Blood for the Blood god, etc, etc. Give me the assault troop solider class and stop with these casty classes!

I can't wait to try out this Dragon Age promo code I got, I'm not sure if the armor is even gonna be great, it will probably be like the DA:O armor we got, which was ok for a while but then became useless. Either way, I haven't been this excited for a game in a while.

It is a shame it is still not available for pre-order. if there is no steam pre-order, I will not be pre-ordering, nor purchasing for full price. I like having everything in one secure place, no risk of losing CD keys. I purchase nothing that is not on steam anymore, unless it can later be "registered" with steam. If they choose to not allow pre-orders, but then later add to steam, I will still not buy at that point either. I will simply wait until it goes on sale. I sure hope they figure something out quick, for it would be a mighty shame for them to miss out on money for what likely will prove to be an awesome game.

I haven't watched a single video so the entire game is a surprise, not a "Oh yeah I remember seeing this". Can't wait to play.

Yes, the vanguard! The charge looks neat, but I wonder how often enemies would be clumped together like they usually were in Mass Effect 1.
