'Attack of the Movies 3D' Announced for Nintendo Wii
by Jeff Mattas, Jan 05, 2010 5:40pm PSTVideo games publisher Majesco Entertainment has announced Attack of the Movies 3D, "the first-ever 3D shooter designed exclusively for Wii."
Developed by Panic Button Games (Lumberjacks, We Wish You a Merry Christmas), Attack of the Movies 3D is a game in which up to four "players become an integral part of movie scenes they can typically only watch."
The shooter will offer multiple paths through each level, varied enemy attack patterns, environmental challenges and "unique areas" for players to experience. Attack of the Movies 3D's six explorable movie-themed worlds have players engage in space battles vs. aliens, "join the resistance against the machines," and shoot underwater monsters. "Genre-based ultimate weapons" like laser cannons and "zombie-slaying shotguns" will be at players' disposal.
Attack of the Movies 3D also comes packaged with four pairs of 3D glasses which will allegedly make the game jump "right out of your television and into your living room." Gui Karyo, Executive VP of Operations at Majesco, states the game intends to let people play their favorite action movie heroes "with a realism and dimensionality previously only found in movie theaters."
