Sims 3 Named 'Most Animal-Friendly Game 2009' by PETA
by Garnett Lee, Dec 31, 2009 2:00pm PSTAs Gamasutra spotted, the Sims 3 won a 'Proggy' as the 'Most Animal Friendly Game of 2009' from animal rights activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The awards, so named to reflect "progress", recognize animal-friendly achievements in commerce and culture states a PETA press release.
The Sims 3 won for its positive portrayal of the vegetarian lifestyle in the game. Along with a number of meatless food options like tofu dogs and veggie burgers, vegetarian Sims can get sick from being accidentally fed meat. PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman complimented publisher Electronic Arts for its compassion and specifically of the game said, "Players might be encouraged to give animals a break and stop eating them."

PETA, for the sake of the world and animals should lead by example and commit suicide. The world would definitely be much better without them.
